Hey No Batter

Thus far in the season the White Sox have shown no signs of an offense. I miss the days of the South Side Hit Men. Zisk, Gamble, Solderholm, Bell and Lemon. It gets me thinking that Kenny Williams the White Sox General Manager may be thinking the same thing. This was the year that Manager Ozzie Gullien got his kind of team. The single guys who can bunt and run and take the extra base. Well 40 games don't make a season but it is what it is. I am not sure who thought Mark Teahan could be a 25 hr 90 rbi guy for the Sox but this third baseman would really need to go on a tear to reach those numbers by October. I wonder if anytime soon Kenny tells Ozzie enough with this "Ozzie ball" and lets bring back the South side hit men type of players.

Jack Peavy started tonight and gave up two quick runs in the first. When a team that can't hit see that 2 go up on the board before they grab their bats the pressing begins. That is probably the reason why A.J. tried to make a single turn into a double, only to get thrown out at second.
